Mohamed Salah's contract extension appears to have been confirmed by the cub – after they posted a cryptic tweet with a picture of their star man.
The Anfield club posted a picture of a grinning Salah – dubbed 'the Egyptian King' by the Kop –along with a crown emoji.
It came just minutes after the news broke the club and Salah were close to agreeing a new deal to extend his time at the Reds.
The training ground snap, showing Salah's toned body, caused a stir among fans eagerly awaiting confirmation their hero had put pen to paper on a new deal.
One wrote: "Don’t tease us like that", while another agreed: "You teases."
A third wrote: "I wonder why Mo is so happy?" Another fan said: "This club knows what it’s doing man."
Salah's current deal expires in the summer and his future has been a subject of debate for months.
Fellow stars Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold are also out of contract and Kopites are all-but resigned to losing their homegrown right back to Real Madrid.
But they've received a double boost this week as both Van Dijk and Salah look set to extend their stays in Merseyside.
Van Dijk, 33, said earlier this week there had been "progress" in negotiations, adding: "I love the club, I love the fans."
And The Times reported on Wednesday evening that Salah is also set to pen a new deal at the club.
There are even claims in his homeland that Salah has told the Egyptian national team he wants to sit out their June camp in order to be properly rested to start a new season with Liverpool.
He currently leads the race for the Premier League Golden Boot with 27 goals and has always made it clear his preferred option was to extend his eight-year stint at Liverpool.
And he's been been directly involved in 54 goals across all competitions for Arne Slot’s side this season — scoring 32 times and providing 22 assists.
Despite Sunday's 3-2 loss at Fulham, Arne Slot's men sit 11 points clear the top of the Premier League in his first season in charge, chasing down a record-equalling 20th title.
And while they plan to spend big in the summer transfer window, retaining the services of their star forward has been top of Arne Slot's in-tray since he took over from Jurgen Klopp.
Salah, 32, has previously made clear his desire to stay at Liverpool, where he has become an integral player since arriving from Roma almost eight years ago.
