Liverpool ace Fabio Carvalho is in demand, with Southampton seeing a bid worth £15million rejected for the player.

Carvalho says every player has a chance to impress Arne Slot, with the Dutchman now in the Anfield dugout.

He has taken over from Jurgen Klopp, who twice loaned out Carvalho last season after signing him from Fulham in 2022.

Slot doesn’t want to sell Carvalho after the 21-year-old impressed on the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.

Liverpool beat Real Betis, Arsenal and Manchester United, with Carvalho scoring against the Gunners and the Red Devils.

How much do Liverpool want for Fabio Carvalho this summer?

But the displays have attracted the interest of newly-promoted Southampton, whose proposal of £15million was turned down by the Reds.

As reported by CaughtOffside, Liverpool want around €30million (£25.7million) for the versatile attacker this summer.

The publication added that the Saints will return with an improved offer as they look to bolster their squad for the new Premier League season.

CaughtOffside also noted that Liverpool only want a permanent deal for Carvalho, who they will sell at the right price, although the player is eager to stay at Anfield.

Will Liverpool sell Fabio Carvalho this summer?

It may only have been pre-season, but Carvalho certainly proved his worth in the USA, with his impressive displays rewarded with two goals.

The youngster struggled for opportunities under Klopp, with the attacker having made just 21 Liverpool appearances so far.

But he was very young when he joined the Merseyside club, with Carvalho gaining vital experience from his loans at RB Leipzig and Hull City.

The former move didn’t exactly go to plan, but the player did shine at the Tigers, scoring nine goals from his 20 appearances, having netted just three times for the Reds.

It remains to be seen if Southampton will meet Liverpool’s asking price, having already strengthened their attack with the likes of Ben Brereton Diaz and former Anfield ace Adam Lallana.
