The latest player to be linked with a move to Leeds United is Norwich City gem Jonathan Rowe, and he is a player that has already underlined how much he loves Elland Road.
With Crysencio Summerville gone, Leeds now sit in a position where they need a few signings before the end of the window. They also have the money to do it, having raked in more than £80m in player sales.
Summerville’s exit of an initial £25m, along with Archie Gray’s £40m move to Tottenham and others take the fee well beyond £80m. Charlie Cresswell, Marc Roca, Diego Llorente and Kris Klaesson have gone, too.
A full-back needs to be signed and Leeds have been linked with a move for Hugo Bueno at Wolves. A midfielder is also expected to arrive to replace Glen Kamara, one that can score goals from the middle.
Leeds also need to replace Crysencio Summerville at Elland Road and one player the club are targeting is Norwich’s Rowe. The youngster scored 12 goals for Norwich from many different positions last term.
Rowe of course, featured four times against Leeds last season as Norwich met Leeds in the play-off semi-finals. Rowe also hit the bar against Leeds when Joe Gelhardt scored a late winner in the Premier League.
Recalling the 2-1 loss to Leeds under Jesse Marsch, Rowe told the Evening News: “Elland Road had the most noise I can remember. A crazy game. Even though we lost I was just in awe of the atmosphere.”

Leeds need wingers, perhaps a little more depth in the 10 role and then obviously, a midfielder capable of scoring goals alongside Ethan Ampadu. Rowe fits the criteria for all of the above, given his versatility.
Leeds are in talks with Norwich and are set to make an opening £7m bid though it is believed that will be rejected. While it is on the low side, Leeds are expected to improve their opening offer if it is not agreed.
Perhaps, landing Rowe for a figure between £10m and £12m would suit all parties, especially Leeds and Farke. Rowe can provide Leeds with an option for more than just one role, crucial in the Championship.
