Pedro Neto has long been linked away from Wolves this summer but he may now have dropped a subtle hint as to where his future lies.

One of the biggest questions going into the summer was surrounding the future of Neto. The Portuguese winger was sensational every time he entered onto the pitch in the 2023/24 campaign.

By the time the season had concluded, he had racked up nine assists and netted twice, showing every sign that he was back to his best.

As a result, multiple teams had registered their interest. Arsenal has been strongly linked to Neto and are believed to be long-term admirers.

However, nothing has happened yet in the window. Neto’s injury record is likely to be a major stumbling block as the winger missed half of the previous campaign on the sidelines.

Now, after returning to the club for pre-season, Neto has dropped a subtle hint about his future at Wolves.

After a well-deserved break, Neto has reunited with the Wolves squad to take part in their final pre-season game against Red Bull Leipzig.

Rumours surrounding the winger have died down since the Euros despite his future at the club still remaining unclear.

However, Neto has now dropped a potential hint suggesting that he could stay at Wolves beyond the transfer window.

Liam Keen reported that the Portuguese international responded to a question regarding his future and said: “I love this club. Whatever happens I’m happy to be here, focused, to take this team to another level.”

While Neto’s answer does not confirm 100% where he will be playing his football this season, it does show that he is happy at the club and has brought into Gary O’Neil’s project.

With the transfer window nearing its completion, Wolves should look to do everything to keep hold of Neto.

The winger is clearly happy in Wolverhampton and a player of his ability is extremely rare to come across.

On top of this, departing with Neto so late in the window gives the club little chance to replace him.

Despite Max Kilman being sold weeks ago, Wolves are yet to find a replacement which strikes little confidence that they’ll be able to for Neto in a timely manner.

Therefore, it makes more sense for the Old Gold to hold onto their star man and try and improve upon their position last season.
