Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has impressed during pre-season and he continued that into their victory over Manchester United in the United States
Mohamed Salah starred for Liverpool during their 3-0 win over Manchester United in the early hours of Sunday morning. The 32-year-old looked sharp for his third pre-season outing of the summer and grabbed an assist, setting up Curtis Jones to slot home as the Reds secured their third victory on the bounce.
It has been a positive pre-season for Liverpool thus far, and now Arne Slot's side return home from the United States with victories over Real Betis, Arsenal and United. It sets them up nicely for their final friendly matches against Sevilla and Las Palmas next weekend ahead of their Premier League curtain-raiser at Ipswich.
As for Salah, he performed well but seemed in a positive mood during the win against United. A clip on social media appeared him to joke with Fabio Carvalho, who scored the opening goal, after both players were taken off. The forward seemed to ask his team-mate why he didn't pass to him before breaking into laughter.

As he walked across the front of the dugout, he appeared to flick the hair of a member of the Liverpool backroom team before shaking hands with some of the players on the bench.

The Egyptian managed to net 25 goals in 44 matches across all competitions last season, though that was somehow his worst total for four years. After the win over United, Liverpool boss Slot said: "Yes, I was – but not with all of them. We are very happy with the result, we scored some really nice goals.
"But I don't think we had enough control over the game because United were threatening us more than a few times. It's a 3-0 win but the score could have been different tonight as well."
Speaking on the US tour, Slot added: "Very positive, I think. Of course the results, that's where everybody is looking at. But players stayed fit and they are able to perform in the way we want, so [a] high-intensity game.
"We saw some great goals during this tour, some great build-up situations and I see them working really, really hard not to concede. Like I said, today I think we gave away too many chances, United deserved more than a 3-0 loss. But it's also our quality that we do score our own chances."
