11 Wolves players have been called up for international duty for the third break of the season. Here is every Old Gold star involved and what fixtures they could feature in.

After a terrible start to the season, Wolves may have finally turned a corner. A Premier League victory finally came on the weekend as they beat Southampton 2-0 at Molineux.

Now, after collecting five points from their last three games, Gary O’Neil’s side are now only two points from safety.

Arguably, the international break has come at a bad time for the Old Gold as momentum could potentially halt.

However, many Wolves players may be able to find further form on international duty with multiple stars being called up.

Therefore, Molineux News has listed below all 11 players who have been selected and what fixtures they may take part in.

Nelson Semedo – Portugal

Despite Wolves’ current predicament, Nelson Semedo has been one of the Old Gold’s best players this season.

For October, Semedo was selected as Wolves’ Player of the Month for his performances as the club aims to move out of the relegation zone.

Now, he will travel with Portugal as the nation looks to progress into the semi-finals of the Nations League

Jorgen Strand Larsen – Norway

Another regular top performer for Wolves this season, it hasn’t taken long for Jorgen Strand Larsen to adapt to the Premier League.

So far the striker has netted four league goals with Ian Wright personally praising Larsen last month.

Now, he will return to Norway to compete with Erling Haaland for a starting spot in the Nations League.

Tom King – Wales

With just one senior cap to his name, the 29-year-old will be hoping to add to this over the next two weeks.

Rayan Ait-Nouri has also been called up for international duty this month. The full-back has become a star player for Algeria in recent years after hitting a sensational run of form.

Algeria will now compete in the final two fixtures in their African Cup of Nations Qualifiers with the nation already through into the finals after winning every one of their four group games.

Since joining Wolves in the summer, Rodrigo Gomes has had little luck. Over recent matches, the winger has struggled for game time and is often seen solely on the bench as an unused substitute.

However, the 21-year-old will have a chance to impress with the Portugal Under 21s as they take part in two upcoming friendly matches.

Matt Doherty – Republic of Ireland

After Matt Doherty was snubbed from the Republic of Ireland squad in the last round of international fixtures, the wing-back has now rejoined the group for the final Nations League matches.

Ireland faces an important final two games as they look to avoid relegation and maintain their status as a second-tier team before the World Cup Qualifiers begin.

Joining Semedo in the Portugal squad is Jose Sa. The goalkeeper has returned after missing out on selection during the last break.

Sa had been battling Sam Johnstone for a starting spot in the Wolves net but has now regularly made the team since the Englishman’s injury.

Now, he will be looking to add to his two Portugal caps over the next two weeks.

Santiago Bueno – Uruguay
