Football, like life, takes many twists and turns. Martin Braihtwaite left Barcelona and Espanyol to land in Brazil as the new player of Gremio, but he does not want to let go of his past so easily and is considering becoming the maximum shareholder of the 'Perico' club.

According to 'Marca', the Dane is looking for economic ways to become the new owner of the Catalan club. His idea is to replace those who did not let him find a way out to play in La Liga and thus have options to go to the Euro 2024 that he has ended up missing.

Until the deal is finalised or not, the striker will continue to play football in the Brazilian league. The Porto Alegre side's situation is not the best, as they find themselves in the relegation places. The former Barca and Leganes player will have to bring his quality and experience to help his new team out of the doldrums.

Braithwaite finished his time at Espanyol with 78 games, 32 goals and 6 assists. In addition, he has achieved a promotion and was top scorer of  the Spanish second tier last season with 22 goals scored in 39 games.
