Arsenal legend Ian Wright has solidified his name as one of the most popular and reputable pundits in the media world.

Wright retired after an impressive professional career back in 2000, having spent most of his career with Crystal Palace and Arsenal. He scored a whopping 231 goals in all competitions, before bowing out after a short spell with Burnley.

Since then Wright has featured on BBC, ITV and Premier League Productions in recent years, with his humour and colourful approach to life making him a much-loved pundit wherever he goes. His expertise and caring demeanour make Wright a hugely popular TV fifure.

Away from the game, the former England international is known for sons Bradley and Shaun's success in football. Both played together in the MLS for New York Red Bulls and Wright often speaks glowingly of his children.

Ian's grandson D'Margio Wright-Phillips plays for Stoke City, with it clear football will always play a huge part in his life. His first marriage ended whilst he was young, but he tied the knot for a second time with Nancy Hallam back in 2011.

During his time on I'm a Celebrity in 2019, Ian revealed that Nancy had no idea who he was when they first met in a pub in Notting Hill as she "didn't know anything about football".

Wright has suffered awful tragedy in the last few years, with his close friend and former footballer Kevin Campbell sadly dying. He also had to bid farewell to his brother, and he reflected on the matter via The Overlap recently.

"I'm driving along and I'm thinking of my brother. He was a really good cricketer, a really good footballer. He didn't come up to the house as often as [I'd] like but that's because he's just a loner," said Wright.

"And then all of a sudden you're constantly trying to get in touch with him, come and do this, come and do that, and then bam, he's gone. You know what I mean? It's tough, man. Now I feel pretty much in control of it, but I know that at some stage later on it just catches you. But you just have to deal with it."

What is Ian Wright's net worth?

Following a career in football and the media, Celebritynetworth.com estimates Wright to be worth £15.27million ($20million). He is said to earn around £150,000-a-year for his work with both ITV and BBC in punditry roles.
