Tottenham prepared to bid £27m for January target, player keen on transfer
Davide Frattesi

Tottenham are enjoying a strong run of form, steadily reversing last season’s inconsistency. With a narrow lead against Liverpool, currently one of the best teams, Spurs are edging closer to ending their long trophy drought, with the FA Cup final within reach. However, injuries have plagued the squad, highlighting the need for reinforcements. Reports now suggest that Tottenham are targeting Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi as a priority signing ahead of the January transfer window’s closure.

Tottenham are leading the chase to secure Davide Frattesi’s signature. The midfielder, who joined Inter Milan permanently after a loan stint at Sassuolo, has become a key figure for I Nerazzurri, making 65 appearances and contributing 19 goals. Reports from TV Play indicate that Spurs are prepared to offer €32 million (£27m) to sign the talented player this month.

Frattesi would fit right In

According to a report from Inter Live, Inter values the 25-year-old at around €45-50 million. Frattesi possesses the qualities to evolve into a complete central midfielder for Spurs, capable of dictating play in midfield while contributing defensively. Struggling for consistent game time at Inter Milan, the Italian international is seeking a fresh start. A move to the Premier League could offer him the ideal platform to showcase his abilities, with Tottenham ready to provide ample playing time to aid his development and help him realise his significant potential.

While clubs like Napoli and AS Roma are also interested in the midfielder, they are unlikely to meet Inter Milan’s valuation, putting Tottenham in pole position to secure his signature.

The report also suggests that Frattesi has a preference for joining Roma but remains open to a move to Tottenham. The player is reportedly ready to relocate to the Premier League if the two clubs can finalise an agreement. Whether Inter Milan agree to Tottenham’s offer and sanction the transfer remains to be seen.

Davide Frattesi could prove to be the key addition to strengthen their chances and provide the stability and creativity needed in the second half of the campaign.
