Kylian Mbappe scored for the second game in a row for Real Madrid, sealing his side's 0-2 win in San Sebastian with a penalty, feeling "better every game" and admitting that he tries to find Vinicius to create "a connection" to help his team.

"We knew before the game that it was going to be difficult and in the end we won, we suffered a bit playing against a great team. We have to keep going like this because we have to win a lot of games to get to where we want to be," he told 'Real Madrid TV'.

"Every game I feel better, I understand what the team, the coach and my teammates need. I feel better and I'm sure that on Tuesday I'll feel better to win at the start of the Champions League," he added.

Mbappe has already pointed to the European clash against Stuttgart, pointing to the importance of getting off to a good start in the Champions League with the new format. He will fulfil the dream of playing in the competition he longs to win at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"It's a very important competition, as I said on the first day I came to Real Madrid to experience this kind of night. I'm very focused on winning and starting well in a new competition like the Champions League, which has changed. We have to start well," he said.

He also praised Vinicius and Mbappe said that it doesn't matter who takes Real Madrid's penalties as long as they end in a goal. "The truth is that we try to look for each other in the game and in training to create this connection because we know we can help the team.

"Vinicius is a great player and I'm very happy to play with him at Real Madrid."
