College basketball Final Four in Colorado? It could be coming

Could the Final Four be coming to Colorado?

It's possible.

The NCAA Division I men's basketball committee has announced finalist cities for future Final Four host sites and Denver is one of them.

The NCAA is picking Final Four hosts for 2032-36 Final Fours and Denver is one of seven cities in contention for the five years to be picked.

The selection process will culminate in July of 2027 when the representatives from each city present to the basketball committee and the hosts will be announced after that.

Denver hosted the 1990 men's basketball Final Four at McNichols Sports Arena.

The announcement of city finalists did not include stadium site listings, but men's basketball Final Fours are now played in larger arenas like football stadiums, so the bid from Denver would presumably be for the planned future new Denver Broncos stadium to allow a large indoor stadium site.

Finalist cities for 2032-36 men's basketball Final Fours

  • Denver

  • Houston

  • Indianapolis

  • Kansas City, Kansas

  • Las Vegas

  • Nashville

  • New Orleans
