The Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints were part of the first NFL International Series game in Paris this weekend. Pittsburgh snuck out of Paris with a 16-10 win and improved to 5-2 on the season. The win wasn't pretty but it keeps them tied with the Cleveland Browns on top in the AFC North. Here's our weekly stock report after the game.
Overall, the offense sputtered and if not for the elite production of Jaylen Warren once again, we doubt the team comes out with a win.
The Steelers have invested heavily in the offensive tackle position in recent drafts and frankly, it's not paying off. Max Iheanachor and Troy Fautanu continued to struggle on Sunday against the Saints edge defenders.
Even with the injuries to this unit, they have played some great football. Cam Heyward, Keeanu Benton and Yahya Black all played heavy snaps and stuffed the Saints run game. All three also had one pass defended, which is a hallmark of the Pittsburgh defensive line.
Sorry but we are still concerned with how the Steelers pass rushers are performing. T.J. Watt is getting eaten up on one-on-ones and the trio are only finding pressure when the secondary buys them extra time.
It was great to see Chris Boswell kicking with confidence as he nailed all three of his field goal tries. The team needed every single one of them.
