Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) shared a funny video from their official social media account after the India vs. New Zealand 3rd T20I match. In the video, Ishan shared a joke with his India National Cricket Team and Sunrisers Hyderabad teammate Abhishek Sharma, who was awarded the Player of the Match today, October 27.
Abhishek took all the spotlight in Wellington as he played a match-defining knock today against New Zealand. With the opener's 113-run knock off 38 balls, Team India chased down the 199-run target in just 13.2 overs.
SRH shared a video shortly after the conclusion of the match. Through the video, cricket fans on the internet can see the bond between Abhishek and Ishan Kishan. Mentioning Abhishek Sharma's trademark celebration, which is the posture of meditation on the ground, Ishan Kishan cracked a joke.
The irony, Abhi 😂🧡 https://t.co/Hg4HZhUQzC

Ishan stated that by doing meditation, Abhishek eases his mind, but dismantles others' mindsets. Here, the other Ishan mentioned refers to the opposing team players. Today, the New Zealand National Cricket Team was on the opposite side of the opener.
India was all in the match with a 2-0 lead as they claimed the first two matches of the 5-match series. Winning the third match automatically sealed the tournament for the Men in Blue brigade with two more matches to go. If they could continue their momentum, the Shreyas Iyer-led side could hand the host a 5-0 whitewash.
Talking about the India vs New Zealand 3rd T20I match at the Wellington Regional Stadium in Wellington, Blackcaps secured a good total of 198 runs in their innings. Daryl Mitchell, Finn Allen, and Bevon Jacobs continued with 89, 40, and 39 runs, respectively. Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, and Nitish Kumar Reddy took one wicket each for India.
Pushing Sanju Samson to No. 3, the Indian team management sent Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi as their openers. Both of them gifted the Indian cricket team a flying start inside the powerplay. Sooryavanshi, with his natural ultra-aggressive batting, scored 45 runs off 19 balls with eight boundaries, including four 6s.
On the other side, his opening partner, Abhishek, remained on the track for a longer period to carry on the onslaught against the New Zealand bowlers. Abhishek, in his innings, smashed the opposing bowlers for eleven 6s and nine 4s. Hitting 11 sixes in an innings was itself a record. However, Abhishek was more lethal against England in Mumbai during a World Cup 2025 match, when he smashed 13 maximums in an innings.
