At 19, Ange Martial Tia is rapidly becoming one of Stade de Reims’ most prominent young players. The midfielder has established himself in the club’s starting XI, seen his market value double and scored in each of his first two appearances for Mali.
His progress has been particularly swift since stepping up to the first team last season. Here are three key facts about the Mali international.
Tia’s development has moved beyond learning his trade away from the spotlight. After coming through the Africa Football Elite academy, he is now an established starter for Stade de Reims.
He has featured in seven Ligue 2 matches this season, scoring once and providing one assist. Those figures underline his growing influence, with the teenager contributing directly to the team’s attacking play rather than simply filling a place in the side.
His promotion to the senior squad last season laid the foundation for his current role, and he has continued to make progress at club level.
Tia is currently valued at 10 million euros, making him the most highly rated player in the Stade de Reims squad despite being only 19.
He is also joint-third among the most valuable players in Ligue 2, alongside Believe Munongo and Pedro.
The latest estimate represents a significant rise in the space of 12 months. Tia’s valuation has increased from 5 million euros to 10 million euros, reflecting the speed of his emergence at club and international level.
Tia made his senior debut for Mali last month and immediately made an impression.
He scored against Cape Verde and then found the net again against Liberia in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. The new international has therefore scored twice in his first three appearances for the Aigles.
That start has added an international dimension to a breakthrough campaign which has already seen him become an important player for Stade de Reims.
Stade de Reims will next play their 10th Ligue 2 match against US Boulogne.
