Accra Hearts of Oak centre-back Kelvin Osei Asibey has declared his readiness to represent Ghana at the international level, insisting he will answer the national call whenever his services are needed.

The defender’s statement comes amid growing calls from Ghanaian football fans for his inclusion in the Black Stars following a remarkable run of performances in the Ghana Premier League.

Asibey has won the Man of the Match award in three consecutive league matches, a feat reported to be a first in the competition’s history. His consistent displays have strengthened his reputation as one of the standout defenders in the domestic league.

His performances have also sparked debate among supporters, with many believing the Hearts of Oak centre-back deserves an opportunity to prove himself in Ghana’s senior national team.

Responding to the prospect of representing the Black Stars, Asibey expressed his willingness to serve the country whenever the opportunity arises.

“As long as I am a citizen of the Republic of Ghana, whenever the nation needs my services, I am ready,” he said.

The defender’s comments reflect his desire to represent Ghana, as his impressive form at club level continues to attract attention.

For Hearts of Oak, Asibey has emerged as an important figure in the team’s defensive setup, combining consistency with performances that have earned him individual recognition.

While a national team call-up remains a decision for the Black Stars’ technical handlers, his recent achievements have intensified calls for him to be considered.

With the Ghana Premier League providing a platform for local talents to stake their claims, Asibey will be hoping to maintain his form and turn the growing support for his inclusion into a potential opportunity to wear the national colours.

For now, his message is clear – he is ready to serve Ghana whenever the opportunity comes.
