Manchester City showcased their formidable attacking prowess with a resounding 5-1 victory over AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League. Young England international Phil Foden was the star of the night, netting his first-ever Champions League hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium. This win not only extended City's impressive unbeaten home record against non-top-five European league teams but also solidified their position in the competition.

City started strong, with Elliot Anderson opening the scoring in the 12th minute, reacting swiftly to a rebound. Despite a second-half goal from AEK's Stavros Pilios, City maintained control. Foden doubled the lead before halftime, and Rayan Cherki added a superb third. Foden then completed his hat-trick with two more clinical finishes, highlighting City's depth and attacking flair. The convincing display ended City's four-match winless streak in Tuesday home European fixtures, much to the delight of their fans. For AEK Athens, this defeat further extended their winless away run in the Champions League to 20 matches, underscoring the challenge they face in European football.
