After a chance-filled first half, Alessia Russo finally broke the deadlock, finding space in the box before slotting home into the far corner.

Doubling her tally shortly after the break, Russo met Steph Catley’s corner to extend our lead and become the competition’s leading English goalscorer.

Russo had time for more magic, capping off a record-breaking night by converting from the penalty spot to complete her hat-trick.
