FC Barcelona delivered another impressive performance in their return to the UEFA Champions League, defeating Galatasaray 4-1 in their second League Phase game.
Joao Cancelo, Fermin Lopez, Anthony Gordon, and Karim Adeyemi scored four goals for the Blaugrana.
However, none of the four players shone as brilliantly as Lamine Yamal Even though he did not score, he put on a display, assisting on two of Fermin and Gordon’s four goals.
In addition to his goal contributions, the Spanish winger demonstrated other high-skill plays that left the audience in amazement. He also received the Man of the Match award for his outstanding effort.
“What do I name that trick? I do not know. I would describe it as a ‘nearly rabona’. The most essential thing is that it was effective in assisting Gordon.”
Despite the scoreline and strong performance, Yamal guaranteed that this was not an easy encounter for his squad.
“We knew it was one of the most challenging stadiums we could play in. We were discussing it in the locker room, about how they press and shout. We are overjoyed with the victory. “They are a good team.”
Yamal’s performance builds on his great form from the start of the current season.
Although the Ballon d’Or voting season is over, the young Spaniard’s exploits continue to demonstrate that he deserves to win Europe’s top individual honor.
Hopefully, he will be able to keep up his amazing form throughout the season and help Barcelona win some silverware.
