Former Liverpool and Real Madrid winger Steve McManaman expects Real Madrid to claim a 3-1 victory over Barcelona in today’s LaLiga edition of El Clásico at Camp Nou.

Barcelona will welcome their long-standing rivals after suffering a midweek Champions League loss to Paris Saint-Germain, adding further pressure to a fixture that can have major implications for both sides’ domestic campaigns.

Discussing the contest with 365Scores, as cited by SPORT, McManaman said he anticipated an intense encounter given the quality and match-winning potential within both squads.

“I expect a very strong match because both teams have the ability to decide important games,” he said. “I hope Real Madrid win 3-1, but let’s see what happens. This match always goes beyond expectations.”

The match is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Nigerian time.
