The squad is comprised of two goalkeepers, five defenders, five midfielders and six forwards.

Kawempe Muslim will be making their debut on the continent. To qualify, they emerged Champions of the CECAFA Zonal Qualifiers in August.

In doing so, they became the first Ugandan outfit to achieve the feat. At the final tournament, Kawempe Muslim is in Group B alongside Morocco’s FAR Rabat, USFAS Bamako of Mali and the winner between Nigeria’s Edo Queens and Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies, who face off in the WAFU-B final today.

In their maiden appearance, the Valley Warriors have received financial support from the Government of the Republic of Uganda through the National Council of Sports worth UGX 50 million.
