VEREENIGING.- Former Orlando Pirates forward Jerry Sikhosana’s team, Tembisa Hollywood Thunder FC, beat Ben 10 FC 3-1 in the ABC Motsepe League match at President Park Stadium on Sunday.

This was the first defeat for the Vaal-based team after a great start to the season. They came into this encounter leading the Stream A log standings. Sikhosana came with a game plan to beat the home team after watching them defeat JBM FC 3-1 in the previous fixture at the same venue.

In fact, Sikhosana has been following Ben 10 FC since the Nedbank Cup Preliminary Round, studying them.

This defeat saw Ben 10 FC drop to position seven on the log with four points from three games.

Tembisa Hollywood Thunder has moved to the top of the log with seven points after three games.

They wanted this win badly, with Dinoko City hot on their heels with the same number of points and games but separated by goal difference. Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Sikosana said it was not an easy game, regardless of the result.

“I don’t want to lie; this is a good team.

He told Sedibeng Ster Sport that Ben 10 FC is a good team that deserves to challenge for the league title at the end of the season.

“I don’t want to lie; this is a good team, and they have good players. I’ve been following them, and playing against them today was not easy because they are a hard-running team. I’m happy that we managed to beat them even though it was not an easy game for us,” he said.

Ben 10 FC will be away from home to face Rrr Rams FC in the ABC Motsepe League match on Saturday. They are up against a team desperate for maximum points.

Ben 10 FC should brace themselves for another tough game come Saturday.
