ATLANTA — Anton Salétros had a goal and an assist to help the Chicago Fire rally for a 3-2 victory over Atlanta United on Saturday night.

With the victory, the Fire (15-10-6, 51 points) surpass the 50-point plateau in back-to-back seasons for just the second time in club history — also doing so in 2000-01.

Atlanta United took a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute when first-year defender Tomás Jacob took passes from Miguel Almirón and Mauricio Amaro and scored his fourth goal.

The Fire pulled even on the unassisted Salétros goal in the 30th minute, and the tie stood through halftime.

The Fire took a 2-1 lead in the 51st minute when Anzor Mekvabishvili stole the ball and scored his first goal in his third appearance in the league.

The Fire grabbed a two-goal lead in the 60th minute when Salétros notched his third assist in setting up Philip Zinckernagel for his sixth goal this season.

Breel Embolo used his head to score off a long assist from Elías Báez to cut it to 3-2 eight minutes later.

Chris Brady finished with one save for the Fire, who snapped a two-match skid. Lucas Hoyos did not have a save for Atlanta United (8-17-6). The club’s 10 losses at home this season are the most in the league.

The Fire return home Wednesday to face Orlando City at Soldier Field.

Houston Dash 3, Chicago Stars 1

Goals from Leah Klenke, Maggie Graham, and Clarissa Larisey led the Dash (9-14-6) to a win Friday night in the Stars’ home finale at Martin Stadium in Evanston.

The Stars (5-22-2) have locked up the worst record in the NWSL with one match remaining — Nov. 1 at the Washington Spirit.

Off a free kick in the fourth minute, Klenke finished off a rebound to put the visitors ahead 1-0. After goalkeeper Alyssa Naeher picked up a backpass from defender Bea Franklin, the Stars surrendered an indirect free kick in the box.

In the 54th minute, off a quickly taken free kick, Lisa Boattin found Graham to double the lead. Forward Kiki Van Zanten’s low-driven cross found Larisey for the Dash’s third goal in the 79th minute.

The Stars avoided the shutout when Sam Staab scored her second of the season with a header off a Emma Egizii corner kick in the third minute of second-half stoppage time.
