Both teams entered 3-0, but one walked out with a loss Sunday at Allegiant Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs came out victorious in the AFC West battle, defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 30-27 in Las Vegas to remain perfect at 4-0.

The back-to-back Super Bowl champions in 2022-23 entered the matchup as 4.5-point favorites over the Raiders after missing the playoffs last season, per FanDuel Sportsbook.

A late fourth-quarter, 13-0 swing in less than two minutes, and a game-sealing interception by Las Vegas led the Chiefs to victory.

Both teams traded touchdowns in the opening quarter, with Las Vegas kicking off the scoring on an Ian Thomas 27-yard reception that was immediately answered by a Chief's Tyquan Thornton grab in the end zone.

Both teams entered the second quarter knotted at seven.

The Raiders scored on both of their possessions in the second quarter with two field goals, one as the clock expired, while the Chiefs added a field goal in the midst. Las Vegas held a narrow three-point lead at halftime.

Both teams were held scoreless in the third quarter, with the Raiders turning the ball over on downs before punting twice, while the Chiefs also punted twice.

The first score of the second half came early in the fourth quarter, with Mahomes finding Thornton for his second touchdown of the game.

The Raiders applied some pressure with a field goal, came up with a big defensive three-and-out stop and notched a second field goal to take a one-point lead with just under five minutes left in the game.

In a matter of minutes, the game completely shifted in favor of the Chiefs, with a Walker touchdown, a fumble recovery on the kickoff and a quick one-play, 22-yard touchdown by Walker once more to take a 30-19 lead.

Just when it looked like the game was sealed, Cousins found Brock Bowers on a 1:16 drive to cut the deficit to three with 1:46 remaining, giving the Raiders a chance at a comeback with a defensive stop.

The Raiders did their job and forced a three-and-out with 1:26 left, giving them a chance to tie it with a field goal or win it with a touchdown.

An 11-play drive ended with 10 seconds left, with Cousins throwing an interception at Kansas City's 37-yard line that was nabbed by Xavier Nwankpa to seal the Chiefs' win.

Kansas City will head into its bye week, while Las Vegas will hit the road to face the New England Patriots next Sunday, with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET.
