After several months away, John Cena is set to be back on "WWE Raw" next week, as announced by the promotion during last night's "Raw." And just in case there was any doubt over what Cena would be doing on the show, the 17 time World Champion has removed all forms of suspense. Taking to X on Tuesday morning, Cena plugged his upcoming appearance and made one notable reference to his upcoming John Cena Classic competition, all but confirming that's what his appearance would relate to.

"Make sure not to miss WWE Raw next week," Cena tweeted. "SPECIAL START TIME OF 6PM EST! The wait is over, the speculation ends 11/2. Let's build this 'Never Seen' CLASSIC! OUR time is NOW!"

It was back in May that Cena first announced the John Cena Classic during an appearance at WWE Backlash. At the time, the announcement received a polarizing response, largely because Cena revealed almost no details about the competition, beyond that it would feature present and future stars and would feature a fan voting element that would allow wrestlers who competed in the competition to move on, even if they lost matches. Cena has since suggested all the key details are figured out, and even admitted that the Classic could be considered "non-canon" to WWE storylines.

Given the lack of detail surrounding the competition, Cena's tease would seem to suggest that all the information regarding it will be revealed next Monday during his appearance. That would likely include the date for the Classic, which previous reports had suggested could happen on December 12. Some recent speculation has suggested the Classic could be timed to take place on December 19, which would put it against AEW Worlds End and the finals of AEW's Continental Classic tournament.
