Türkiye Fantasy Matchday 10: Expert team reveal

The Türkiye Fantasy season moves into Matchday 10.

Ahead of the deadline, our expert @EnesGnerDoan23 returns to reveal his latest team and highlight the players, fixtures and captaincy options on his radar.

Last week wasn’t particularly kind to my Fantasy team. My captain blanked despite Trabzonspor scoring four goals, while Gaziantep FK and Alanyaspor both disappointed. Çorum FK also struggled against a superior Göztepe side.

At least I managed to find a goalkeeper haul from Bahadır Han Güngördü, alongside a successful differential pick in Franculino Djú. We also witnessed some entertaining matches and plenty of goals across the league.

The biggest news came from Fenerbahçe, with İsmail Kartal resigning following their disappointing derby performance.

Before looking ahead, I’d also like to celebrate my beautiful Türkiye’s Republic Day once again. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk gifted us this country, and we have a responsibility to protect it and make him proud. I hope our Republic continues to prosper for many centuries to come.

We also have another round of European fixtures to consider. Galatasaray host Stuttgart, Fenerbahçe welcome Liverpool, Beşiktaş travel to Celtic and Trabzonspor face Freiburg at home.

Hopefully, our clubs can enjoy another successful week in Europe. I wish every Turkish team representing our country the very best of luck!

TEAM REVEAL

KONYASPOR V GALATASARAY

Galatasaray begin the Gameweek with a trip to Konyaspor. Abdülkerim Bardakcı will miss out through suspension following his confrontation with Archie Brown after the derby.

The visitors may also avoid risking Barış Alper Yılmaz, potentially opening the door for Leroy Sané and Rafael Leão to start together.

Konyaspor’s goalkeeper boasts an impressive save percentage, although their defence looks fairly average. They haven’t offered much going forward either, so I expect Galatasaray to win by a few goals. A clean sheet also looks possible.

Victor Osimhen should be a priority after his outstanding derby performance. He’s also recently become a father for the second time, which could give him even more motivation.

Defensively, Roland Sallai and Davinson Sánchez are both worth considering. In midfield, creative playmaker Aleksei Batrakov appeals, alongside Leão, who I prefer over Sané.

Goalkeeper Uğurcan Çakır also looks like a perfectly reasonable option.

ERZURUMSPOR V ÇORUM FK

This could be one of the more interesting fixtures of the week.

Çorum FK look stronger on paper, but Erzurumspor’s results deserve a closer look. Their only defeats have come against Beşiktaş, Amedspor and Galatasaray.

Those three opponents scored 10 goals against them. However, Erzurumspor have conceded just twice across their other matches combined.

The arrival of Miguel Cardoso has also improved their attacking play. With winter approaching, Erzurumspor could make good use of their home advantage and the colder conditions.

I wouldn’t completely rule out a surprise result here. However, I’d recommend selecting no more than one player from this fixture.

KOCAELİSPOR V ÇAYKUR RİZESPOR

Another difficult match to predict sees Kocaelispor host Çaykur Rizespor.

Rizespor impressed against Trabzonspor and came close to securing a victory. Their attacking approach makes them interesting from a Fantasy perspective, although they often leave themselves exposed defensively.

For Kocaelispor, Gonçalo Sousa and Berkan Kutlu look like their main creative options.

However, I’m not convinced this fixture deserves one of our valuable Fantasy spots. There are more attractive matches elsewhere this week.

FENERBAHÇE V GÖZTEPE

Fenerbahçe host Göztepe in what could prove a difficult first challenge for interim coach Dirk Kuyt.

There’s an old belief in Turkish football that teams improve immediately after changing managers. We often see them produce a strong performance and secure a victory.

That could happen again, but Göztepe shouldn’t be underestimated. They’ve found some form recently and kept a clean sheet against Çorum FK.

We’ll certainly want some Fenerbahçe coverage. Göztepe defend well but also commit players forward, which could leave space for the home side’s attackers.

Vedat Muriqi looks likely to start following another disappointing performance from Romelu Lukaku.

Meanwhile, Mason Greenwood hasn’t impressed recently and continues to struggle creatively. Perhaps he’ll produce something special to convince Kuyt that he deserves a regular starting place.

However, Oğuz Aydın and İrfan Can Kahveci have shown much better form. Aydın particularly appeals because of his ability to exploit space.

With Brown serving a suspension, Levent Mercan could also become an interesting defensive option. He supplied two assists in his previous start, highlighting his attacking potential.

AMEDSPOR V EYÜPSPOR

Amedspor have one of the most attractive fixtures this week as they welcome Eyüpspor.

The hosts continue to fight for first place and should feel confident after Samsunspor failed to take anything from their previous meeting.

Eyüpspor currently look like the weakest team in the league, making this a fantastic opportunity for Amedspor.

Gift Orban and Dia Saba are my preferred attacking options. Both have shown excellent form and deserve serious captaincy consideration.

A clean sheet also looks possible, bringing goalkeeper Alban Lafont and defender David Bates into contention.

Those wanting to attack this fixture aggressively could even consider a triple attacking combination, with Thierno Ballo joining Orban and Saba.

TRABZONSPOR V GAZİANTEP FK

Trabzonspor are absolutely flying under Thomas Reis, having won six consecutive matches.

Gaziantep FK look like favourable opponents this week. They’ve struggled recently, while an injury to goalkeeper Kacper Tobiasz could force them to use a backup.

I don’t expect Trabzonspor to risk Djú, but Paul Onuachu should return to the attack.

Ernest Muçi also looks increasingly appealing after registering three assists last week. He’s starting to rediscover his form, while Doğuhan Aral Şimşir and Mohamed Salah offer threats from the wings.

I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised to see Trabzonspor score another four goals!

In defence, my preferred option is Sidny Cabral. His European suspension should improve his chances of starting this league fixture.

BAŞAKŞEHİR V SAMSUNSPOR

Başakşehir defended well for around 80 minutes against Beşiktaş and also created some opportunities of their own.

Samsunspor, meanwhile, have struggled to produce anything particularly convincing. Their recent performances have raised serious concerns about their chances of avoiding relegation.

Eldor Shomurodov should have a good opportunity to deliver this week, while Andreas Skov Olsen also appeals.

Defensively, I really liked Michał Karbownik’s performance last time out. He could provide a useful differential for anyone willing to take a chance.

KASIMPAŞA V BEŞİKTAŞ

This should be another entertaining fixture.

Kasımpaşa have played some impressive attacking football recently, but their approach could leave plenty of space for Beşiktaş to exploit.

Václav Černý suffered an injury and came off after 56 minutes last time out. Meanwhile, Leandro Trossard still hasn’t produced the big Fantasy returns we’ve been hoping for.

Beşiktaş also appear less convincing creatively without Orkun Kökçü. Their continued struggles away from home make this a difficult match to approach with confidence.

Even so, I think Beşiktaş could edge it 2-1.

My main recommendation is Ishola Olaitan, who looks like their best player at the moment.

GENÇLERBİRLİĞİ V ALANYASPOR

Monday’s only fixture sees Gençlerbirliği face Alanyaspor.

Neither side has impressed or disappointed particularly strongly. Both look fairly average, which makes this a difficult match to target for Fantasy points.

Personally, I’d avoid investing here.

However, anyone determined to select a player could consider Tiago Gouveia from Gençlerbirliği or Gaius Makouta from Alanyaspor.

CHIP STRATEGY AND CAPTAINCY

We’ve got plenty of exciting forwards to choose from this week, alongside several players capable of delivering huge hauls.

That makes Gameweek 10 an appealing opportunity to use a chip. Captaincy chips could prove particularly valuable for managers chasing the top positions.

Unfortunately, I’ve already used all my captaincy chips. Instead, I’m considering either All Attack or Bench Boost.

I’ll make my final decision closer to the deadline, once we have more team news.

We’re only heading into Gameweek 10, so there’s still a long way to go this season. Good luck, everyone! Hopefully, this is the week you get the returns you’re looking for.
