John Cena has revealed what his ideal day with wife Shay Shariatzadeh would look like, from morning coffee to a romantic dinner.

During an appearance on TODAY’s Making Space with Hoda Kotb, the former WWE Champion described a relaxing day together that ended with a rather unexpected punchline.

Cena explained that he would start the morning early, making lattes for both of them before sharing breakfast and discussing their plans.

He also promised to handle the dishes, proving that even the 17-time world champion knows some battles are best won outside the ring.

The couple would then head to the gym. Although they prefer separate workouts, Cena said they enjoy training in the same space. There is, however, one part of the routine he could do without.

“She’s in charge of the music, so I would be in store for two hours of techno covers, which in itself is an exercise in patience for me,” Cena said.

After working out, Cena imagined visiting a café together before spending three to four hours pursuing individual interests. His plans included playing the piano, learning languages, reading, and browsing the car market — a habit that could prove expensive without his wife’s guidance.

“I’d probably look at the car market and make an irresponsible decision that my wife will talk me out of,” he admitted, before thanking her for saving him money.

John Cena also pictured an alfresco dinner featuring espresso martinis, shared dishes, and perhaps a bottle of wine. However, his description of the evening took an amusing turn when he discussed how he wanted to finish the day.

“Get home safely, and gosh, I would love some intimate time, too, at the end of the day. But that’s only going to take me 90 seconds,” Cena joked.

He quickly returned to the more romantic point behind his answer, explaining that ending the day with “that intimate connection with the person I love the most” and extending their time together until midnight would make it perfect.

Hoda Kotb called Cena’s vision a “beautiful, perfect day.” The former WWE star may have delivered the punchline in record time, but his ideal day was ultimately about making the most of every moment with his wife.
