Youri Tielemans has made the shock admission that there is a lack of effort within the Manchester United dressing room, among other issues, as the fallout of their humbling at Como continues.
Manchester United's winless run in all competitions stretches to seven games now after a thumping 4-1 defeat by Como in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
The Red Devils started both halves terribly, conceding after two minutes and 49 minutes. This follows last week's 2-0 Champions League loss at Atletico Madrid where they fell behind after just 53 seconds.
Reflecting on United's form, Tielemans conceded post-match on Wednesday that there is a worryingly a lack of effort among the squad.
'It's a combination of everything: tactical, technical, effort. We need to try do better at everything,' he told TNT Sports.
That remark came after the Belgium midfielder admitted that he and his team-mates had been outplayed by Como.
"Tonight we were poor at everything."

'There was a lot said at half-time to try and get back into the game, which didn't happen,' he said of their 1-0 half-time deficit.
'We conceded straight away after half-time, and then you try to do something, and we get outplayed. We got outplayed for most of the game, so it was a very disappointing night.'
The 29-year-old's self-reflection didn't end there. Asked why United were so poor, he said: 'It's everything. You can be good tactically but if the effort isn't there, or the other way round, you have to be good at everything, but tonight we were poor at everything.
'It's the same message as we've had the last few weeks. We can be here and talk about it, but we have to show it on the pitch. We can only apologise to the fans who travelled, the fans who watched us from home and support us. They're disappointed and we're disappointed.
'The only thing we can do is try to show something on the pitch, which we haven't done over the last few weeks.'
This is the second week in a row that Tielemans has fronted up to the media. After Lisandro Martinez called out the club's hierarchy for a lack of investment in the summer after losing to Atletico, that question was posed to Tielemans who was one of those summer acquisitions.
The 29-year-old who joined from Aston Villa for ÂŁ35million, declined to comment about that outburst.
Tielemans and United will look to end their winless run on Sunday afternoon when they host Bournemouth in the Premier League.
