Taylor Swift sat out her husband Travis Kelce's recent NFL Game, missing a chance to support the Kansas City Chiefs as they competed against the Seattle Seahawks in one of the biggest games on the 2026 NFL calendar on Sunday, October 25.
It's not necessarily unexpected that the 36-year-old pop star was absent; despite often attending the Chiefs' home games at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift hasn't been going to Kelce, 37, and the Chiefs' away games.
Even though Swift can't be at every game, she was at last week's game when the Chiefs played the Los Angeles Chargers, a division rival, on Sunday, October 18, attending mere hours after her Academy Museum Gala 2026 performance in Los Angeles, California.
At that game, Swift's friends Este Haim and Caitlin Clark were with her as they all cheered on her husband and his team, the Chiefs, while they defeated the Chargers 22-6.
Also last weekend, the Shake It Off singer became embroiled in controversy after beauty influencer and podcaster Ashlie Molstad went viral after detailing a chaotic moment that happened in Swift’s suite at Arrowhead during home games. During the game, Taylor was caught on camera snapping at an individual in the crowd after the fan allegedly crossed a line by shouting Taylor's name and trying to take a photo despite requests to move along.
Molstad and a friend bought two tickets “literally right in front of where Taylor was sitting” for the Chiefs game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, October 18.
“We go to our seats. Everybody is in our seats,” Molstad explained in a video posted and shared on her Instagram Stories timeline on Sunday.
“We’re like, ‘Hey, we’re right here. We’re seats five and six.’ And one girl that was standing there with a sign, she’s like, ‘Oh, damn it. You guys were supposed to be late.’ We’re like, ‘Well, we’re not. We’re here.’ They were just annoying. They’re in our face the whole time. People didn’t even look at the field. They’re just standing watching the suite," she further noted.
In her video, Molstad described the behavior of fans who were around as “very bizarre.” However, when Swift showed up during the first quarter, Molstad claimed that the Grammy-winning crooner's security detail also made their presence known.
“Next thing we know, three big a-- dudes come in and they are there for security for Taylor,” Molstad expressed.
“Then you just kind of start observing what the f--k is going on and what that world is like. [The security team] is head on a swivel as if they’re Secret Service, right? I mean, she is the most famous, at least American, celebrity that we have right,” Molstad remarked.
She shared, “Anyway, there’s these three men and they’re very friendly to us. They’re very nice. But they are very locked into…they are not watching the game. They’re watching people. It was kind of wild to see how many people are constantly looking.”
