Nottingham Forest were once again at the centre of another VAR controversy as they drew 1-1 with Ipswich Town.
Neco Williams opened the scoring early in the first half before Julio Enciso equalised prior to half-time. It meant the Reds, despite their dominance, will have to settle for a point and remain in the bottom three of the Premier League table.
James McAtee was once again in fine form for Forest. He’s been impressive under Oliver Glasner, and he was involved in the game’s big VAR decision at Portman Road.

What have YOU made about Liam Delap's start to life at Nottingham Forest?! BIG things were expected…
After going through on goal, a very late challenge from Issa Diop was inexplicably missed by the referee, before a VAR check saw him give a free kick to Forest and Diop a yellow card.
McAtee has confessed that he doesn’t really understand the laws of the game anymore.
McAtee has reacted to the incident on his Instagram following the game against Ipswich on Friday, with Forest once again feeling very unfortunate based on a referee call.
Diop’s challenge looked to come as McAtee was set to get the ball and win a shot at goal at the very least, although the referee seemed to disagree, choosing instead to show a yellow card.
McAtee posted on Instagram: “Good shift from the boys. Deserved more, but we move! Still trying to figure out the rules though!”

McAtee’s issue is correct, in the sense that far too many of the game’s laws seem to change from one week to the next, with players and supporters often left baffled.
The foul on McAtee in that area of the pitch did feel like a red card for a DOGSO offence, but ultimately, the referee, Tom Bramall, robbed Forest of a chance to play the final 35 minutes against 10.
