But the 78-year-old Bradshaw has insisted that he has more to give with no plans to retire from his Fox NFL Sunday role despite his age.

“I know at 78 years of age, I’m down the straightaway,” Bradshaw said to People. “And I know people are saying, ‘Time to move on.’

“And I’m going, ‘From what? I got as much energy as anyone.’”

Bradshaw has faced repeated calls to retire from fans after making notable mistakes while live on the air.

This included shockingly talking about the wrong game during the NFC Championship Game last season.

Despite these concerns, Bradshaw has insisted that he is still up to the task.

“I’m just as good at doing my job as I’ve ever been,” Bradshaw continued. “I’m just as curious about my job as I’ve ever been.’ There’s nothing about football and doing a football show I don’t like.”

The former quarterback stepped away from the NFL in 1984 as a four-time Super Bowl winner.

Bradshaw then joined Fox Sports when the network landed NFL rights a decade later, becoming a mainstay of the pregame program.

The broadcaster has previously explained that he would struggle with retirement as he relies on the fast-paced lifestyle that his job affords.

This has seen him land roles beyond football in acting, horse breeding, and working as a motivational speaker across the United States.

The star is set to remain on the network until at least his 80th birthday, with Fox signing him until 2029.

Bradshaw is expected to remain at center stage as Fox has secured the primary broadcast rights for Super Bowl LXIII.
