A REFEREE was taken off on the back of a medical cart in Sunday’s NFL London clash.
Official Larry Smith needed to be helped off the playing surface at Wembley Stadium.
Smith is in his second year as an NFL referee and is also a school principal in Kansas.
He was working the Houston Texans’ showdown against AFC South rival the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The referee fell over between plays during the first quarter of the Week 6 clash.
But the delay turned out to be a lengthy one as Smith struggled to get back on his feet.
A medical cart then came on to help the referee, and he took a seat on the back.
Smith raised his cap to fans as he was carted away down one of the tunnels at Wembley.
Texans kicker Ka’imi Fairbairn scored a dramatic last-gasp field goal to seal a thrilling Wembley win and turn the tables on Jacksonville.
Fairbairn smashed home the game winner from 49 yards in a 34-31 victory over the Jaguars.

The show was on the other foot for Jacksonville after they won their clash against Philadelphia at Tottenham last weekend thanks to a late 57-yard field goal from Cam Little.
CJ Stroud threw for 312 yards and a hattrick of touchdowns to give Houston a second straight win.
The Texans improved to 2-4 for the year while Jacksonville fell to 4-2 and missed the chance to take full control of the AFC South.
