Como Calcio visits the Stadio Artemio Franchi to face Fiorentina on Sunday afternoon, playing without the injured Diao and Kean. Meanwhile, Pallacanestro Cantù prepares for a road game against Trieste in search of their first victory of the season under Frank Vitucci.

Como Misses Diao and Kean in Florence

Como enters Sunday’s 3:00 PM fixture at the Stadio Artemio Franchi following a midweek defeat in Rotterdam during Champions League play. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Cesc Fàbregas expressed calm confidence despite a tight turnaround between European competition and the trip to Tuscany. The squad must navigate the fixture without Diao, who faces a recovery period of at least three weeks due to an injury, and Kean, who remains unavailable following fitness issues that also kept him out of the midweek European squad. Fàbregas noted that all other members of the roster are available as the team aims to upset the Viola.

Cantù Seeks First Win Against Trieste

Pallacanestro Cantù travels to the PalaTrieste for an 18:00 tip-off on Sunday in the fourth round of the season. The team is searching for its initial win of the campaign after opening with three defeats, including home losses to Udine and a setback against Napoli last weekend. Frank Vitucci emphasized the importance of maintaining tactical discipline and focus across all forty minutes of play. Vitucci highlighted three primary keys to the matchup: containing Trieste’s fast-break offense and three-point shooting, securing defensive rebounds, and sustaining performance levels throughout the contest. Olisevicius is expected to provide valuable experience in managing game situations and decision-making on the floor.

Match Schedules and Venues

Sunday features dual sporting commitments for the two major clubs from the Lario area. The football team kicks off in Florence at 15:00 local time, while the basketball squad takes the court in Trieste at 18:00 local time. Both sides look to reverse recent results away from home venues.
