WWE has reportedly re-signed RAW Superstar Dragon Lee.
Dragon Lee signed with WWE in 2022 and started in NXT. He won the Men’s North American Championship during his time in the developmental brand. He started on the main roster the following year and then joined the Latino World Order on RAW in March 2024. He held the World Tag Team Championship with AJ Styles for 70 days last year.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Dragon Lee and WWE negotiated a new contract, but the details and duration remain undisclosed. Recent rumors indicated that his new deal could be for five years. However, they remain unconfirmed.
The update follows WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H telling Dragon Lee he needs him long-term. He advised Lee to keep some risky spots for special matches and not jeopardize his health. HHH said, “Dude, f****** badass. Hey, do me a favor, though. That table bump? Keep that sh** special. That’s a now-and-then one. I need you here long-term, not short-term.”
Dragon Lee has been chasing the Intercontinental Championship for a while now. His last attempt came on this week’s episode of WWE RAW, where Chad Gable retained against Lee and Rey Mysterio in a triple-threat match. With him seemingly staying for the long run, it will be interesting to see how the promotion books the luchador going forward.
