Neco Williams bagged his first goal of the 2026/27 campaign as Nottingham Forest claimed a draw with Ipswich Town.

The Reds went into the lead at Portman Road but found themselves level on the stroke of half-time, with Julio Enciso equalising after a mistake from Nikola Milenkovic.

The game turned sour for Williams in the closing stages, however, with the Welshman falling awkwardly and needing support to get off the pitch, clutching his arm.

In the aftermath of the game, however, Williams has appeared to ease the fears of supporters and delivered an update on how he is feeling after the injury.

It would appear as though Williams is doing alright. The Reds’ star would be a huge loss at this stage of the season, with two big games coming before the next international break.

Williams has taken to Instagram to make light of his injury after the game, with a post directed at the supporters who had been anxious seeing how much pain he was in as he lay stricken on the turf.

He wrote: “A game of mixed emotions. Points on the board to build on now. PS, I’m all good!”

Williams is integral to the Forest fortunes. Although he’s not a natural as a wing-back, he’s still one of the most consistent players in the dressing room, and losing him for any period of time would be a considerable blow.

Hopefully, Williams will be fit and ready to face Brentford next weekend. Forest have to get more points on the board, and a defeat could be seriously detrimental with Manchester City to come after that.
