FC Bayern Munich II defeated TSV 1860 Munich 4:2 in a fiercely contested Regionalliga Bayern derby at Grünwalder Stadion, where visiting coach Dante was sent off on his 43rd birthday. Anton Heinz scored twice for the Bayern side, while 1860 missed multiple scoring opportunities in Giesing.
The match began with intense pressure from the home side, but the goals belonged entirely to the visitors. Anton Heinz opened the scoring in the 13th minute, followed by Tim Binder in the 23rd minute, giving Bayern II a 2:0 advantage. While the Lions dictated the rhythm of the game, Bayern capitalized on their chances with ruthless efficiency. Cristian Leone pulled a goal back for 1860 following a cross from Gevorgyan in the 29th minute. Michael Eberwein in the 31st minute and Seiffert in the 35th minute had further good chances for the home team before the break, while Bogdan Olychenko hit the post for the guests in the 33rd minute. Just before halftime, Heinz struck again from 22 yards out in the 40th minute, catching 1860 goalkeeper Vitus Eicher too far off his line to restore a two-goal cushion at 3:1.
The second half opened when Emre Erdogan headed in an effort for 1860 in the 51st minute, deflected in by Bayern player Raphael Pavlic for an own goal that narrowed the score. As the home side pressed fiercely for an equalizer, with Leone missing a huge chance to make it 3:3 in the 55th minute, tensions boiled over on the sideline. In the 59th minute, referee Felix Wagner issued a red card to Bayern II coach Dante after he apparently threw a ball onto the pitch. Former 1860 player Benny Lauth criticized the dismissal during the broadcast as deutlich überzogen
for a derby atmosphere, arguing that a brief word would have sufficed.
Despite playing a man down on the touchline, Bayern II maintained their composure. Following a brief period of heightened physicality that included a scuffle resulting in a warning for Dennis Dressel and Guido Della Rovere in the 73rd minute, the visitors struck the decisive blow. Artur Degraf surged down the left flank and finished cleanly in the 75th minute to extend the lead to 4:2. Late in the match, visiting supporters chanted as 1860 failed to mount another comeback.
The fixture marked the first meeting between the two sides since 2021. Bayern II’s goals came from Anton Heinz (13′, 40′), Tim Binder (23′), and Artur Degraf (75′). TSV 1860 Munich responded through Cristian Leone and an own goal forced by Emre Erdogan.
