Inside Man Utd's chaotic Amazon documentary as 'heated argument' claim made after Como game

Earlier this month, it was suggested that the presence of Amazon's documentary cameras was causing Manchester United players to 'hold their tongues' in the dressing room.

A report from The Sun on October 17 claimed that cameras were 'stifling dressing-room chat during and after games', which in turn was hurting performances. "The players view the cameras as a pain," a source said.

However, it appears recent developments suggest that may no longer be the case. United insider Sully, who has built a strong following with more than 86,000 followers on social media, made a damning claim after Wednesday's Champions League clash with Como.

"Michael Carrick and Matheus Cunha had a heated argument yesterday at half-time against Como," he wrote on X. "Carrick wasn't happy with Cunha's performance and heated words were exchanged."

He also suggested that Cunha was "furious" about being subbed off at the break. Naturally, there was also a "tense" atmosphere at full time after United fell to a 4-1 defeat.

Everything that's happened at Man Utd since Amazon began filming 'All or Nothing' documentary

United's miserable trip to Como is likely to be among the standout moments of the Amazon series, with the result adding to an already eventful opening few months of the 2026-27 campaign.

To kick things off, Carrick's side got off to a nightmare start as they lost their opening game of the Premier League season to newly-promoted Hull City.

They managed to bounce back with positive results against Ipswich Town, Everton and Sabah, but fans inside Old Trafford were far from happy after Erling Haaland's controversial winner earned 10-man Manchester City a derby win.

A day later, highly-rated youngster JJ Gabriel and his representatives informed United officials of his ambition to leave, with a lack of first-team minutes being a major contributor to the decision.

Things haven't exactly improved since, either. They squandered a two-goal lead against Brighton in the Carabao Cup, a result that brought loud boos from the Old Trafford crowd at full-time.

Two draws against Fulham and Tottenham did little to brighten the mood and, after making such a positive start in the Champions League, a dreadful night in Madrid only dampened spirits.

In fact, Lisandro Martinez's decision to publicly criticise club director Jason Wilcox and the club's summer recruitment in a bombshell post-match interview after that game against Atletico Madrid will likely be a huge talking point on the Amazon series.

United's winless run would soon reach six games after a 1-1 draw against Leeds. An encouraged Carrick would claim the result “felt like a fresh start”, but days later, that 4-1 defeat to Como happened and negativity spread like wildfire.

United's trip to Como will likely be one of the most talked-about moments of the Amazon documentary

Bruno Fernandes appeared to directly question Carrick's tactics after being asked whether he had "confidence" that United could "work as a team and solve the problems you need to" while out on the pitch.

"Of course we can, but it's a decision from the staff to not press man-to-man and sometimes leave a little bit of space and try to get the ball in the first moment, to wait for them, to give them the ball," he said.

"But sometimes when you give too much of the ball to these teams, they get confidence. They have so many bodies behind the ball that makes you run a lot, make people get frustrated and then obviously when you recover the ball, the legs and the brain are much more difficult to make it work."

Carrick, who suggested Fernandes' comments were not accurate, will remain in charge for United's game against Bournemouth, but talk of potential replacements has ramped up over the past few days.

What will tomorrow bring? All we know is this could be one of the most eventful documentaries of all time.
