Eagles list 24 on injury report as Smith, Wicks and Goedert sit out

Saquon Barkley’s return to practice gave the Eagles an encouraging sign Thursday, but another lengthy injury report raised concerns about their passing game ahead of Monday night’s matchup against Dallas.

Philadelphia listed 24 players, including six who did not participate. DeVonta Smith sat out with a hamstring injury, Dontayvion Wicks was sidelined with an ankle injury, and Dallas Goedert did not practice because of a knee injury.

Smith’s absence comes after he caught seven passes for 75 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s loss to Carolina. Wicks has 19 receptions for 284 yards and a touchdown this season, with 16 catches producing first downs. Their availability will be important as Philadelphia attempts to establish more consistency around quarterback Tanner McKee.

Goedert added six receptions for 61 yards against the Panthers, making his status another significant storyline for an offense already operating without Jalen Hurts.

Barkley was listed as limited with his hamstring injury after missing the past two games. NFL Network reported earlier Thursday that he was expected to practice and was in line to play against Dallas. Barkley has rushed for 182 yards on 36 carries this season, averaging 5.1 yards per attempt.

Michael Carter, Willie Lampkin and Nolan Smith joined the three pass catchers as nonparticipants. Smith remains listed with a concussion after leaving against Carolina.

Philadelphia also had eight limited participants, including Landon Dickerson, Jonathan Greenard, Jalyx Hunt, Drew Kendall and Tyler Steen. Dickerson was listed with knee and pectoral injuries, while Hunt was listed with knee and ankle injuries.

Among the encouraging developments, Jordan Davis practiced fully after leaving Sunday’s game with shin and thumb injuries. Zack Baun, Marquise Brown, Grant Calcaterra and Eli Stowers also participated fully.

Thursday’s report reflects practice participation, not final availability. The Eagles have two more scheduled practice reports before they can determine game designations in their attempt to end a four-game losing streak.
