England Women will travel to Sri Lanka for a six-match white-ball series in February and March 2027, with three T20Is and three ODIs split around the ICC Women's Champions Trophy in India. The schedule was confirmed on October 21 2026.

Charlotte Edwards' squad will also head to India in January 2027 for a red-ball training camp before the international window opens. The players selected for that camp are yet to be named, with selections due in the coming weeks.

The structure of the tour places the T20I leg before the Champions Trophy and the ODI leg after it. The ICC Women's Champions Trophy runs from February 14 to February 28 2027 in India, giving England a clear preparation block before the multi-nation event and a return to bilateral cricket once it concludes.

What does the confirmed match schedule look like?

All three T20Is will be staged in Kandy. England open the tour on February 1 2027, with the second fixture on February 3 and the third on February 5. Keeping the T20I leg at a single venue allows the touring party to settle before shifting attention to the Champions Trophy.

Once the tournament in India concludes on February 28, England return to Sri Lanka for the ODI series, which moves north to Dambulla. The first ODI is on March 4 2027, the second on March 6 and the third on March 8. The full tour therefore runs from February 1 to March 8 2027, with the Champions Trophy window bridging the two series.

What is the broader context for England Women ahead of this tour?

England arrive in Sri Lanka carrying strong recent form. They swept the previous ODI series against Sri Lanka 3-0, with Sophia Dunkley producing the standout individual moment of that campaign by scoring her second international century in the final match.

Edwards' side will also be motivated by the memory of the home T20 World Cup, where they reached the final but were beaten comprehensively by Australia at Lord's. That runners-up finish gives the squad a clear benchmark as they build towards the Champions Trophy and the Sri Lanka fixtures on either side of it.

The January red-ball camp in India signals that longer-format cricket and the 2027 Ashes remains part of England's planning even during a busy white-ball window. With selections for the camp still to be announced, the coming weeks will offer further clarity on which players Edwards is considering across formats as the 2027 international calendar takes shape.
