Berkhamsted FC FA Cup tie chosen for television coverage

The tie is already historic for the Comrades, as it marks their first-ever appearance in the first round proper of the FA Cup.

Having been drawn away to Plymouth Parkway, a team in their own league, Berkhamsted will be optimistic about their chances of progression, though they know a tough battle awaits.

But, as well as being the furthest the club have reached in the competition, with the chance to go even further, Berkhamsted will enjoy the occasion in front of the masses, with the game being chosen for TV coverage.

The game has been chosen to be broadcast live on TNT Sports, and has been scheduled for 19:30 GMT on Monday, 9 November.

The journey so far

Berkhamsted have won four games to reach this stage. A narrow, battling 3-2 win away to Bishop's Stortford kicked off their campaign, before dominant wins over Hendon and Redditch.

The latter, a 2-0 win away from home, set up a fourth qualifying round tie away to National League playoff hopefuls Southend United.

A 90th-minute Jeffrey Sekyere goal saw Berkhamsted emerge as 2-1 victors, setting up the historic tie away to Plymouth Parkway.
