Vote of no confidence in the Danson family petition

Here's my response to the petition.

I've been on the forum a little while and spoken at length about tactics, players and then how we could potentially move forwards as a club and do things a little differently with a much more agile and forward thinking model.

As it currently stands, the overall general feeling seems to be of exasperation, and the scars of the last 6 years run really deep within our fan base.

When we went into administration, there were a number of us that got information together about Stanley Choi, and the links off from him, and then the whole blowback on Begbies Traynor. Some of it was hilarious, some heartfelt, but ultimately the fans pulled together. However, there's a malaise now, of fans almost expecting that this is it, and we have to accept how things are.

The groups and this petition are representative of some of the ill feeling, but the worst thing of all has set into us - apathy.

I rewatched the Fans Forum again the other day. You could feel it in the room. When there was pushback, especially from the lady who mentioned about the poor corporate communication and local sponsorships being lost, the club officials didn't have an answer beyond "back the lads".

Well, backing doesn't just come from us. It comes from them, as they directly influence how many turn up to "back the lads".

I can't imagine fans of any other club in the country allowing this to happen. Clubs have fell apart and reformed and the fans have still stuck by it and pushed them back on track. Unfortunately, I just don't see us doing that.

I made my feelings clear - under these owners, we go nowhere. We're a franchise. MK Dons we're called Franchise FC, but let's have it right - in a lot of ways, they're more of a club than we are right now.

We've gone through managers like no tomorrow, player turnover is maddeningly high, we see no progression off the field, and yet expect the manager to work miracles, whilst claiming we have the budget to not be where we are.

None of it adds up. Not one bit of that adds up.

I watched who we were bringing in, and I had an incling we'd have a tough time. So far, that thought has been proven correct, as much as it pains me.

What I propose is we get together and pool our resources somehow, people with business knowledge, concerned supporters.

It's time we looked seriously at where we are going.
