Wales hope for more competition at scrum-half

Wales kicking coach Alex Davies says it is crucial to keep building competition at scrum-half in order to push Tomos Williams.

Williams, who was in the British and Irish Lions squad in 2025 before injury, is widely viewed as Wales' number one choice.

But Davies says increased competition from the likes of Reuben Morgan-Williams and uncapped Che Hope will be crucial for Wales.

Wales begin their Nations Championship campaign when they face Japan in Cardiff on Saturday, 7 November.
