It's time to start looking ahead to the biggest game in football: the Super Bowl.
The American tradition filled with food, football, commercials and a star-studded halftime show will once again take place in February.
Here's everything you need to know about Super Bowl 61.
Super Bowl 61 is scheduled for Feb. 14, 2027.
Super Bowl LXI will be played on Valentine's Day in 2027. The Super Bowl takes place on the second Sunday in February, as it has since the league shifted to a 17-game schedule in the 2021 NFL season.
The day after the big game, Monday, Feb. 15, 2027, is Presidents Day.
According to USA TODAY, the game has never fallen on Valentine's Day. In 2022, the Los Angeles Rams faced off against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LV on Feb. 13, one day shy.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
The 2027 Super Bowl will be held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. It will be the first time the NFL championship game has been played in the Los Angeles area since 2022.
Super Bowl 61 will air on ESPN and ABC.
Jay-Z, a 25-time Grammy-winning rapper, will headline the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show.
Carter's entertainment company, Roc Nation, has partnered with the NFL since 2019 on the league's music and entertainment strategy, including the Super Bowl halftime show.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Jay-Z taking the stage had been a goal since the league began working with Roc Nation.
"When we first reached an agreement with Roc Nation to produce the show, I had just one request: that JAŸ-Z take the stage himself one day, whenever the moment felt right to him," Goodell said in the NFL's official announcement.
Goodell said he was excited for fans to experience the "artistry, creativity and cultural impact" Jay-Z brings to the Super Bowl stage.
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots, 29-23, in Super Bowl 60, which took place at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 8, 2026.
The last Super Bowl that featured the Bengals was on Feb. 13, 2022, when the Los Angeles Rams defeated Cincinnati 23-20 in Super Bowl 56. The game was held at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
The Cincinnati Bengals have been to the Super Bowl three times, in 1982, 1989 and 2022, but have never won the Lombardi Trophy. They lost twice to the San Francisco 49ers and once to the Los Angeles Rams.
