Sitting at 2-5 on the season, the New York Jets are one of the potential struggling teams fans suspect could become sellers ahead of the looming NFL trade deadline. This belief further got strengthened for Jets fans after a cryptic post from star running back Breece Hall caught the attention of the fanbase on Friday.
It has largely been a frustrating 2026 season thus far for Hall, who has missed each of the team's last four games with a lingering quad injury.
In his absence, third-year running back Braelon Allen has quietly done a very nice job at keeping the Jets rushing attack afloat, rushing for over 100 yards in two of his four starting opportunities while Hall has been sidelined.
Could this potentially make Hall an expendable piece that the Jets could get assets back for? Well, Jets fans have quickly become convinced this may ultimately be the case after Hall took to social media with a cryptic post that appears to be alluding to "seeing the bigger picture".
"To whoever needs to hear this: Through every high, every low, every setback, and every blessing, keep going and keep trusting in the Lord," wrote Hall in his post on X. "We may not always understand His timing or see the bigger picture, but His plan is always greater than ours. One day it’ll all make sense. Until then, keep your faith and trust His process."
While Hall could just as easily be referring to the difficult process of recovering from his quad injury, Jets fans have seemingly convinced themselves that Hall may be hinting at the team potentially dealing him ahead of the trade deadline.
Whether Hall does ultimately get moved before the trade deadline or not, it will be interesting to see whether Hall is able to suit up for the Jets' upcoming matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.
According to the team's most recent injury report, Hall was listed as a limited participant in practice on Friday and officially has a questionable status ahead of the game.
The Jets and Raiders will face off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 1, which will air on FOX.
