While living in Germany for two years, Logan fell in love with soccer and chose to support FC Bayern. When not following Bayern, he is usually planning trips around the States to watch soccer and/or baseball games or to Germany to pack in as many games in one trip. Apart from Bayern, he also proudly supports his local clubs, Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals FC, and to counteract the joy received by supporting Bayern, he also supports Tottenham.
Harry Kane spoke recently in an interview posted on UEFA’s website about how his game has developed since joining Bayern Munich. Though he has been known as a goal-scorer throughout his career, he seemshappy with the way his game has evolved and the freedom he has to create.
Kane told the interviewers (as recorded by @iMiaSanMia), “In my youth team days, I was always more of a midfielder/striker. I liked to play in different positions. When I broke into the Tottenham team, I was more of a No. 9 and seen as a No. 9. But I feel like I’ve always had the passing range, the vision, and the football brain—the game understanding—throughout my whole career, and I think that’s just flourished these last couple of years especially, these last few years since I’ve been here at Bayern.”
Since arriving at Bayern, Kane has played 157 matches in all competitions. He has scored 155 goals and has assisted 37 goals, putting his goal contributions at over one per match.
He went on to say, “Right now, there’s a lot of freedom for me to geton the ball and make an impact, and also be the one to score the goals. I know I’m going to be judged on goalscoring first and foremost, but I feel like I can have much more of an impact on the game when I’m able to touch theball more, play, and move and create space for other people.”
