After Bayern Munich's 6-1 win over 1. FC Magdeburg in the DFB-Pokal, sporting director Max Eberl has sent a supportive message to Joshua Kimmich, stressing that the midfielder can return whenever he feels ready.

"If Jo feels that he wants to clear his head now – if we can call it that – then he is very welcome here any day. I believe and I hope it will happen soon," Eberl said.

Kimmich currently deals with a difficult family situation and has been absent from the team since Bayern's UCL match against Arsenal. As of right now, nobody knows if he will be available to the Bavarians for the upcoming “Klassiker” against Borussia Dortmund this Saturday.
