Nesmith is not starting Friday against the Mavericks, Grant Afseth of DallasHoopsJournal.com reports.
Nesmith was deemed available earlier in the day, but he won't be inserted into the starting lineup right away, as the Pacers are taking a cautious approach with him. Jarace Walker will remain the starting small forward.
