Week 9's marquee matchup will take place in Atlanta, where the Florida Gators and Georgia Bulldogs play in one of college football's biggest rivalry games. With both teams vying for a spot in the College Football Playoff as well as the SEC Championship Game, there is a lot on the line inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Saturday.
Ahead of the 104th meeting (or 105th, according to UGA) between the two schools, a panel of nine of CBS Sports' college football experts offered their predictions for this year's "Cocktail Party." Six of them — Tom Fornelli, Richard Johnson, Shehan Jeyarajah, David Cobb, Brad Crawford and Chris Hummer — picked the Bulldogs to win while the other three — Chip Patterson, Brandon Marcello and John Talty — chose the Gators.
"Expect to see an angry Georgia team after the Bulldogs were forced to stew on a turnover-fueled home loss to Auburn during a bye week. Florida will have the Bulldogs' full attention after an upset win at Texas, and UGA won't be remotely caught off guard by anything the Gators attempt offensively. Georgia's defensive staff knows Florida offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner well," they offer.
"On the opposite side, the Gators have shown they are vulnerable on defense, and Bulldogs quarterback Gunner Stockton will be playing with a chip on his shoulder after a rare poor performance against Auburn."
The Florida-Georgia game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ABC.
