Additional Details On Eric Young Returning To WWE As A Producer In NXT

As previously reported, pro wrestling veteran and multiple-time TNA World Champion Eric Young returned to WWE in July as a producer in NXT.

According to Fightful Select, Young has had a positive relationship with WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque for a long time. Triple H made it clear to Young that he was welcome to return to the company whenever he wanted.

Young left TNA on July 1 after the promotion granted his request for a release from his contract. He had previously been with WWE from 2016 to 2020, where he led the stable SAnitY, but was let go during the pandemic-related budget cuts in April 2020. Although he returned to WWE in 2023, he did not appear on television and later requested his release. He cited his unwillingness to work for Vince McMahon, who had returned to the company following his brief retirement due to sexual misconduct allegations, as the reason for his decision.
