Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks confirmed during his post-match press conference that he received a message from Vincent Kompany, who remains hospitalised after collapsing.

Although the club had urged him to step back completely from day-to-day duties, the Belgian tactician still tuned in to watch Bayern secure a 3-1 victory away at Freiburg.

"When I got back to the dressing room, I had a WhatsApp message from him that simply read: 'Well done. Congratulations to the team and the players'," he revealed.
