Looking to build on last weekend’s win at Northern, Ben Foden’s side made an encouraging start and immediately took the lead courtesy of a penalty from the boot of Tom Ratcliffe.
The visitors, however, hit straight back as the impressive Cam Lees broke clear out wide and crossed for a converted try.
The lead soon became 10-3 when Mihali Joannou kicked a penalty from in front of the posts.
It was not until the 38th minute that Scarborough got back on level terms through a driving maul. The pack built momentum before crossing the line, with Sam Dawson touching down.
The hosts were soon attacking again and took the lead when Eddie Erskine bundled over from close range to give his side a 15-10 advantage heading into the interval.
However, the final action of the first half saw the visitors score a second try after cutting through the Scarborough defence, with Lees crossing under the posts.
It was a similar story in the second half, with Foden’s side battling back into the game. In the 54th minute, they regained the lead after Jordan Wakeham spotted a narrow gap in the defence and dived for the line. Ratcliffe added the extras to make it 22-17.
With the game finely poised, Scarborough secured the victory in the final 10 minutes, scoring three converted tries to stretch their lead to 43-17.
First, Nat Parker finished off a smart move before the returning Tom Harrison crossed to the left of the posts. The final action of the game saw James Long twist out of a tackle to score.
Scarborough welcome York to Silver Royd next weekend as they look to make it four wins in a row.
